Log: taxes and personal notes

Taxes are one of those things I long forgot since the Dark Wars began. Thankfully Hayner mentioned them last week and I've been well underway with the form. It's more complex than I thought it would be, but I think I got the hang of them. There's this EZ form that's pretty straight forward. I believe I'll have them done soon.

In other thoughts, Hayner, I believe we'll be meeting with you for some more Struggle and such, right?

Also I've been hearing quite a bit about something called blitzball. Seems to be rather popular. Wonder what it is and why it involves killing something called marlboros. I'm not sure I want to know if it involves killing anyone in general. I've seen enough of that to last a lifetime.

No, no, you got it all wrong. The sport itself's got nothing to do with killing anything--it's an underwater game, you score as many goals as you can in two five-minute halves--but the guys in charge of this place say they won't help me build a place to play it unless I "prove my dedication to the project" by defeating a bunch of monsters. Believe me, the fiends around here will kill you if they get the chance, and the "mayoral committe" is probably using me as some kinda pest-control, considering these malboros are damned tough, but....

Yeah. Game's got nothing to do with killing.

A sport? It's been quite a long time since I've actually come across something that doesn't involve war.

That's a pretty odd request by the committee. It does seem to be cleanup crew. If you are killing fiends, would you like some assistance? I could use some sword practice.

You bet I would! XD Gonna need all the help I can get, considering I hafta get two hundred of the damned things....

Be careful, though--if they breathe on you, you go crazy. Messes with your head, sometimes poisons you, sometimes you can't talk, sometimes you can't see. Got really bad breath, see. So....if you're up to it....

That sounds rather dangerous and bizarre. I've never heard of creatures who could do something like that.

Perhaps the best plan of action is to strike before they have a chance to attack. We might be able to find the perfect combination to give us the stat bonus against these marlboros.
