The forced date thing is bullshit this place invented. It has nothing to do with Valentine's day. You're not missing anything.

And Squall... hrm. I think he's a detective where I work. I haven't talked to him though, so I have no clue if it's the same guy.

But skipping out on the forced date will get you terminated, so... just pray the four hours passes quickly?

These mandatory events are rather frightening and controlling. They sound like what Dolua did to most of the kingdoms.

Very much so.

Dolua is the kingdom which tried to conquer the world and oppress all the kingdoms (they did successfully for 2 years). My army and I befell Dolua before returning home to Altea.
